Sonia Gandhi to address election rally in Bihar today

Kahalgaon: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday will kick off the party’s campaign for the forthcoming Bihar polls with a rally in Kahalgaon, near Bhagalpur.  This will be the first election rally of Ms. Gandhi after poll dates were announced in Bihar.

After Kahalgaon, the Congress president will attend a rally at Wazirganj in Gaya district



at 3 p.m.

Senior Congress leader Sadanand Singh, who has been representing the Kahalgaon constituency for several terms, is in a comfortable position to win the seat, say locals.

All top State party leaders are expected to attend the rally in Kahalgaon.
The 5-phase polls will begin on October 12 and the counting of votes will be done on November 8.
