Telangana budget session begins today

The Budget session of Telanagana State Legislature commence this morning in Hyderabad with Governor ESL Narasimhan addressing the joint session of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. The State Annual Budget will be presented on 14th of this month.

Godavari, proposed hike in power tariffs, Agriculture distress and drought conditions are among the main issues that may come up for discussion during the session. 

The opposition Congress and the TDP are also expected to raise the issue of MLAs switching loyalty to the ruling TRS. Meanwhile, the Business Advisory Committee Meeting to be held this afternoon will decide the exact number of sittings and the issues to be discussed.
