Hyderabad: The much-awaited Telangana Express (previously AP Express) connecting State capital with Delhi will start on its maiden journey from New Delhi at 9 am on Wednesday.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off the train with remote control apparatus from Rail Bhavan in New Delhi. All the Telangana MPs, including
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, will be present on this occasion.
It may be mentioned here that Telangana State government had been demanding renaming of AP Express in view of bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wrote letters to the Centre and also took up the issue with Railway Minister on many occasions.
