Telangana government to launch new portal very soon

Hyderabad, January 06, 2015 (PTI) Telangana Government's IT Department is planning to launch a new portal of the State loaded with various features in a week's time. The current portal, www.telangana.gov.in, was step up as a stop-gap arrangement during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh last year and it came into being on June 2.

The portal will contain exhaustive information about the State's history, culture and important statistics. There will be special sections on various flagship programmes of the Government like Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid, it said.

The portal will contain daily news updates and press releases from the Government. Besides hosting a modern photo and video gallery, it will be well integrated with social media platforms. The website would be launched in a week's time at a special programme, the release added.
