NEW DELHI, January 19, 2015 Agencies :  Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi on Monday said former union minister and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor would be questioned in connection with his wife Sunanda Pushkar's alleged murder "in a day or two.""Questioning is already in process with lots of persons related to case. As of now, Mr. Tharoor has not been questioned but soon he will be. He is out of Delhi today (Monday) and will be back till evening. Our Special Investigating Team will question him tomorrow or day after tomorrow according to their need,"

said Mr. Bassi. In the beginning of this year, the police registered a murder case for Sunanda Pushkar, who was found dead in a suite of Hotel Leela Palace on January 17, 2014.Prior to checking into the hotel, Pushkar had a twitter spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar whom she accused of breaking her marriage with Mr. Tharoor.Even though Mr. Tharoor has so far refused to take questions from journalists on the issue, during a press conference held last week, he had said investigation must be "free of political pressure or a pre-determined outcome."
