Jammu: Three people were killed and one injured on Saturday in a blast at a forest area near the line of control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Police said three civilians were killed and another injured when the explosive device went off near Saryam village, Nowshara, of Rajouri district on Saturday morning.
"Three civilians were killed and another
injured when an explosive device went off in forest area near Saryam village at 9 a.m. today (Saturday)," a senior police officer told IANS in winter capital Jammu.
The area is densely forested and close to the LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu region. A defence official said that a drifted mine exploded in the field of a villager who has already taken compensation for his land.
