New Delhi: Pollster Today's Chanakya on Sunday issued an apology for getting wrong its forecast of the Bihar assembly elections result.
"We sincerely apologise all our friends & well wishers for not able to predict Bihar. Congratulations to the winning alliance," Today's Chanakya twitted even as counting of millions of votes cast in the five-phase polls is underway.
Initial trends are giving the Grand
Alliance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a thumping majority over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party.
Today's Chanakya had predicted 155 seats for the BJP-led NDA and a mere 83 for the Grand Alliance of the Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress.
The polls to the 243-member Bihar assembly took place in five phases between October 12 and November 5.
