Hyderabad: Stage is set for another political jamboree of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the State capital on Monday. After three days of its first plenary, the rank and file of the TRS will be assembling again at the Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, for the public meeting on Monday. Streets of twin-cities will soak in pink with party chief K Chandrashekar Rao fixing target to leaders to mobilise ten thousand people from each assembly constituency.
Further, this meeting is being arranged to coincide with TRS formation day (April 27) celebrations. Although cultural programmes will begin from 2 pm onwards, the main meeting will kick-off from 4 pm. Rao is expected to address the gathering around 6 pm. With Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections due for the end of this year, this meeting assumes all the more importance. Rao announcing new plans especially for GHMC is not ruled out, opine party insiders.
Rao has been giving instructions to Ministers and leaders from the city to be on their toes since court has directed the government to complete election formalities at the earliest. Besides this, Rao is expected to give specific directions to party cadre about their role for the
next 12 months. He exhorted them to actively take part in Drinking Water Grid works when they reach respective constituencies.
Coming to the arrangements part, MLC Karne Prabhaker said that drinking water (in view of the hot summer) and medical facilities will be available for lakhs of people attending the meeting. Also six big LED screens are being erected at different places inside the ground so that crowd could see the proceedings without any problem. Party cadre had also made arrangements for firecrackers display towards the end of the meeting.Thousands of RTC buses have been booked from different districts to transport public in huge numbers. Around 2.5 lakh people would attend from Greater Hyderabad alone, TRS city president Mynampalli Hanumanth Rao said.
Around 50,000 TRS supporters from the old city will be making their presence felt. Also Ministers and key leaders would be leading huge rallies from 24 different locations till the venue, in which thousands would take part, he added.Minister K Taraka Rama Rao will be leading a rally from Cantonment, Naini from Goshamahal, Padma Rao from Secunderabad, Talasani Srinivas Yadav from Sanathnagar and Mynampalli Hanumanth Rao from Qutbullapur.
