Microblogging site Twitter announced on Friday that it has added four new Indian languages Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, and Tamil- raising the language support count to six. Hindi and Bengali are already available since a year, the social media said in a blog post. A community of Twitter users were translating these languages through the translation centre.
The firm says that they wouldn’t have done this without their help. Twitter is making its platform live by supporting these
languages and allowing public conversations accessible to Indians across the country.
The head of communications of Twitter India Rohan Vyavaharkar said that Twitter always focuses to enhance the user experience so that many users can utilize the platform and avail its benefits.
Users can go to the settings menu and the language. Users of the Android devices can change the language in the language settings on their smart phones.
