New Delhi: Amid the ever-changing security dynamics in the aviation sector and the complexities associated with it, officials and experts from both India and the United Kingdom met here yesterday to share the best practices in the field and device strategies to counter the evolving challenges.
The two-day UK-India Bilateral Seminar on Aviation Security is being attended by stakeholders across the aviation sector in the country including officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, the CISF and the Delhi Police, among others.
The meet comes at
a time when the aviation sector in India is witnessing phenomenal growth, with the passenger traffic growth touching 28-30 per cent during the last couple of months.
"Issues related to mutual interest were discussed along with best practices," said a tweet of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, announcing the start of the two-day seminar.
Joint Secretary in the Ministry Usha Padhee in a separate tweet said, "Sharing best practices is the best way to learn from each other.
