Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras meets UAE State Minister for Foreign Trade

Union Minister Food Processing Industries, Pashupati Kumar Paras, Dr. Aman Puri, Consulate General of India in UAE and other officials of FPI and Invest India met H.E. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for foreign trade on the sidelines of Gulf Food 2023.

On the occasion the Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, FPI invited Dr Thani to become partner for the upcoming World Food India 2023 and lead a business delegation to India.

H.E Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, UAE,  highlighted that due to the comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) between both the countries, investments in the agri-food sector would also advance in addition to the sourcing of the agricultural & food products. 

The proposed investments under I2U2 were also discussed during the meeting. He also mentioned about the upcoming visit of H.E Vice President of UAE to India during which new investments would be announced in the area of



agriculture and food processing.

World Food India is one of the largest food industry events in the world,  envisioned and championed by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries Government of India and intends to establish global linkages and facilitate foreign investments in India’s USD 915 billion farm-to-fork ecosystem. 

World Food India is designed to offer an unusual peek into India’s food and culture as well as opportunities to invest and prosper from one of the world’s largest consumer markets. India is amongst the largest producers and consumers of food in the world, opening up huge opportunities for specific post-harvest management technology suppliers, cold chain infrastructure and refrigerated transport players to process food produce and for retail chains.

World Food 2023 is set to happen this year from Nov 3rd to 5th at New Delhi. The minister had earlier inaugurated India Pavilion at Gulf foods during his visit to the Emirates.
