Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal yesterday held meetings with his counterparts at G7 Trade Ministers meet in Italy. Mr Goyal’s participation in the meeting underscores country’s proactive approach in engaging with global economies to foster trade and economic cooperation.
On the Sidelines of the meeting, The Minister discussed deeper economic ties and Foreign Trade Agreements with Europeon Union and United Kingdom. He called for collaboration to reinforce global supply chains in critical minerals, semiconductors, pharma and green Energy. Mr Goyal also
highlighted the need for robust partnerships in the face of 3Cs – Covid, Conflicts and Climate change.
Mr. Goyal held talks with Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, held discussions with Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, New Zealand’s Trade Minister Todd McClay, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany Dr. Robert Habeck.
