New Delhi: Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna will prepare a culinary treat for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CEOs of top global companies with cumulative worth of approximately $4 trillion in New York on September 24.
The Amritsar born chef, who unveiled his book on cuisine for festivals and rituals of Indian communities titled 'Utsav - A culinary epic of Indian festivals' at Cannes, will prepare a six-seven course meal covering 30-plus festivals in that spread and showcase 'rich, beautiful India' in a new age and fine dining avatar.
While Khanna remained
unavailable for the comment, his representative Deepika Bansal said he's "proud and humble to get the opportunity".
The food that Khanna is preparing for Modi and the delegates include poha, khandvi, modak, thandai, dates, non-alcoholic drinks and desserts, but in a fine dining format.
The dinner meeting, which is held at the New York's Waldorf Astoria, a luxury five-star hotel will see global faces like Lockheed Martin chairman Marillyn A. Hewson, Ford Motor president Mark Fields, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, Johnson & Johnson chairman Jorge Mesquita among many.
